Jewellery Care

Do you want your jewellery to keep looking as good as new?

I pride myself in only stocking good quality jewellery but it has to be treated with care! A good mantra to follow is “Last on, first off!”

If you follow these rules you should be able to enjoy your jewellery for a long time!

  1. PLEASE DON’T SHOWER in your jewellery!

  2. PLEASE DON’T SLEEP In your jewellery-some pieces are delicate and could easily get caught in your hair and break

  3. PLEASE DON’T SWIM in it - as I found out! The chlorine and chemicals can damage/ discolour your lovely jewellery.

  4. PLEASE DON’T wear it in the gym/ out on your run! If  you sweat in your jewellery please wipe it down with a cloth.

  5. PLEASE remember not to spray your jewellery with perfume, hairspray, body lotion or similar. Wear perfume etc but remember to put your jewellery on last!

Please note occasionally people find their silver jewellery has turned black on their skin - this is nothing to do with my jewellery! This is to do with the chemicals of your skin interacting with the sterling silver.

Again, I’ve experienced this at times - our body chemicals can change from season to season, day to day. It’s easy to clean off. I recommend a silver cloth for sterling silver jewellery - I’m not a fan of jewellery dips for cleaning.
